"Frequency" 84" x 84" abstract on raw Belgian linen canvas. I was fortunate to receive two blank canvases prepared for Mr. John Saladino. He was not only a genius in architecture and design, but also an ccomplished painter. Let me tell you it wa challenging to decide what to paint on them, because I wanted to create something that is an "Ode to Saladino". He was a friend and mentor for 20+ years. In n effort to honor his rather ancient/modern style, I decided on this minimalist/modern abstract approach. The outer edge reveals the raw linen. The painting itself has built up layers of acrylic, defined by controlled linework made by gravity and the turning of the canvas.
