This painting was inspired by her recent week long trip of riding horses in the mountains of Patagonia. The feeling of incredible overwhelm of the beauty of the creation and landscape around her is felt in this magnificent work.

Karen was born and raised in the Vineland's of South Africa, and now resides in Santa Barbara. She is a self taught artist, and works at her craft full-time. Her paintings reflect her love of nature and animals. Her rich colors are inspired by her love of travel and the beauty that surrounds her in the Santa Barbara countryside.
